TN550 Order Questionnaire

Tail Number:

Aircraft Serial Number:

Make/Model:

Does the aircraft have dual alternators?

If single, would you like to add dual alternators?

Does the aircraft have TKS?

Does the aircraft have an electrically heated propeller (if so, existing slip ring will need to be retained)?

Is the aircraft air conditioned, and if so Cessna or aftermarket?

Overhaul of the turbocharger, wastegate, and wastegate controller are not required but encouraged. We use Main Turbo and can make those arrangements if needed.

New throttle and mixture cables are needed and included. Would you like to add a new Prop Cable?

We recommend one of the three different propeller choices:

  • 82″ 8068 Best Climb and Takeoff
  • 80″ 8068 Same as above but more prop clearance
  • 80″ 7693DF+2 A little faster above 18,000′ but still has good climb

All three propellers are the same price, and we feel you can’t make a bad decision. The differences between them are minor. The 82″ 8068 is a good all-round prop and our most popular choice. Our 1979 P210 that was used for the STC development has the 7693DF+2 and it works well also.

Our STC requires the aircraft to have a recording and display engine analyzer. There are several brands available that are acceptable. The aircraft may already have what is needed. If not, we recommend the JPI 930 or JPI 900. If you wish to keep the original Cessna instruments also, the JPI 830 can be used and is less expensive than the JPI 730 by the time you add all that is needed. Your installer can probably supply and install the engine analyzer as needed.

The exhaust system is normally inspected by the installer and reused if in good condition. All but P210’s will need a Knisley type exhaust upgrade. Is this aircraft a P210 or does it already have a Knisley exhaust system?

Thank you for completing this questionnaire. This will allow us to give you an accurate price for your conversion and prevent any surprises during the installation process.

Thank you for your interest in the TN550 Conversion. We look forward to working with you.
